The more I hear/read of r o l, the more suprised I am that Christopher fowler hasn’t taken legal action for plagiarism…
Except for a few details, like only one elderly detective instead of two, I hear a new r o l and I can correctly predict to about 85%-90% what will happen to a fairly high detail level, and some of his choices/changes really grate, wether they appeared in bryant and may or not.
And the fella who could probably do both sets of stories even better than the real authors,is busy and doesn’t appear to have the same output capability..
Kobna is OK, it’s the writing that hard..
If you have heard/read any “Pilgrim by Sebastian Baczkiewicz “, perhaps you think the same.?

Posts like the one by Travis859 above just help convince me that any dream I might have of putting pen to paper may as well be completely dismissed due to a lack of intellectual ability.
The post sounded most intriguing and I started to read it again.
Then, having read it a second time I realised I did not fully understand it and it took a good few minutes to work it out. The final killer punch was when I realised that although I remembered having some stuff by Ben Aaronovich, Kobna meant nothing. Only when I started to play book one in the Rivers of London series did I remember the name Kobna and that it was his style of narration that caused me to leave the stories until another day.
Memory, what memory ?
PS the silver lining is that I can now start to track down Sebastian Baczkiewicz

Hi ben, glad you tried to understand what i was trying to put across.
I know precisely how hard it is to come up with a truly new, original story idea, which is why i hate plagiarists as much as i do.
Hope you found the pillgrim series, being bbc, they can make listening impossible sometimes, but mr branchovich is told what to write by them too, ilm sure. Given free reign over output,he could have made the later ones better..
